LANDFEED is proud to launch the “Reduce, Recycle, Regenerate” campaign. LANDFEED designed this three-part initiative to inspire action, raise awareness, and highlight practical solutions for Europe’s growing bio-waste challenges.
Households, businesses, and industries across the EU generate more than 86 million tonnes of bio-waste each year. Many regions still send much of this waste to landfill or incinerate it. This practice wastes valuable resources and misses the opportunity to support the circular economy. This campaign aims to show how we can work together to reduce, recycle, and regenerate bio-waste into something valuable and sustainable.
Why this campaign matters
“Reduce, Recycle, Regenerate” is more than just a communication campaign. It connects scientific research, policy, and everyday behaviour. Together, these show how smarter waste management and innovative technologies can transform food and green waste into useful products. It is about involving citizens, farmers, businesses, and public authorities in rethinking how we manage waste – not as something to discard, but as a resource with real potential. The campaign is built around three core pillars:
- Reduce: Practical tips and insights to help individuals and businesses prevent food waste at the source.
- Recycle: Clear advice on how to sort and recycle bio-waste properly.
- Regenerate: A look at how LANDFEED and its partners are developing new technologies.
